Self-Acceptance is a process of getting to know oneself again and stretches beyond how we think of ourselves. It us acknowledging our whole beings and recognizing our thoughts, behaviour, lifestyle, and,most importantly, our real competition. Our ego we feed, unhealthy food we consume, knowledge and opportunities we neglect, negative behaviour we nurture, inspiration and creativity we abandon. Self-Acceptance is understanding that everyday is a new chance to beat our competition and be our best selves.
Without self-acceptance, our physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing can suffer and lead to serious health issues later in our life. The lack of awareness and connection to oneself can lead to depression, severe anxiety, eating disorders, high levels of stress and damage one’s ability to connect with others in social situations. Ultimately lack of self-acceptance leads down a quick spiral of rejection of oneself and isolation towards anyone around who might be trying to offer help. When we connect with our entire being, we can release this energy and feel an overwhelming sense of relief and peace
This retreat runs for 7 nights and 8 days and will focus around the importance of self-acceptance, who our real competition is, and how we can actively recondition our brain to think positively about ourselves in situations where we would otherwise be our biggest critics.
Our workshops and group sessions will tackle ways we can recondition our mentality to think in terms of positivity and awareness rather than comparison and criticism of ourselves to others.
Guests can expect daily yoga and meditations to align the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects while exploring the seaside sanctuary of Essaouira and discovering an array of local activities to completely immerse the senses. This retreat is limited to 14 spots and exclusively intended for the woman to tap into her divine goddess and learn how to wholeheartedly show unconditional love and acceptance towards herself while radiating love and light for others to follow.

We have collaborated with leading fitness figure and founder of GoFitJo, Joanne Encarnacion, to bring women a fresh and supportive perspective on their health and fitness and how learning to love and accept ourselves is the first step.
“A Modern Day Mother Hustler Sharing Her Fitness Journey Towards a Happier and Healthier Life. One Rep At a Time.” In 2016 Joanne was experiencing a tremendous amount of anxiety and depression from her daily life and needed to find an outlet where she could feel release and relief. She started a blog to document her health journey and help her balance out running a business with her husband, taking care of her kids and trying to stay fit and healthy. She began posting her fitness journey and started to attract a female following who had become inspired by her refreshingly honest and open health and nutrition focused posts.
She began to feel the internal shift starting to take place and told her husband that she thinks it’s time to seek out a new passion and try something else. Well the universe heard her loud and clear and agreed that it had much bigger plans for her than the corporate world. Joanne had found her passion for health and nutrition and had felt like it was her purpose to help other women develop meaningful relationships that could assist them on their journey.
After getting laid off she decided to approach her new business venture from a different perspective. Her previous job had shown the best way to manage people was to empower them so she wanted to create a business model that would in turn do the same for her new clients. She went back to school to get her Health and Nutrition Coaching certification, she bet on herself being a full-time blogger and three years later she is a Women’s Health and Lifestyle Coach.
Her platform, GoFitJo connects and inspires women to start their own journey by reframing how they perceive health and fitness while helping create a healthy and sustainable fitness regime that works for their specific bodies and lifestyles. It’s more than a physical process of shedding weight, it’s a mental and spiritual process of shedding our layers and inching our way towards our inner and higher coreself. We have collaborated with Joanne for our Morocco women-only Self-Acceptance retreat where she will be guiding guests on their journey of self-acceptance. Her approach to health and fitness is that it’s not about the perfect body, it’s actually not even about how the physical being looks. It’s about how we feel on the inside. This retreat will show you the tools and methods to finding your inner strength and self motivation and creating a space of support and empowerment to live our best lives.
Joanne’s personal journey of self-acceptance and her search to seek out the methods and tools for strengthening not just our bodies but minds and souls makes her the ultimate truth seeker and will help other women find the strength to shine a light on themselves to begin the process of learning to wholley love and accept oneself.
Ana Lilia is a UC Berkeley graduate, certified breathwork teacher and intuitive healer whose practice focuses on breath as a pathway for transformation.
Ana is deeply attuned to your needs and creates personalised healing journeys that combine active breath-work, intuitive guidance, curated music and aromatherapy. She leaves you feeling clear, relaxed and empowered by guiding you through a two-step pranayama breathing technique that moves blocked energy and emotions through the body. In individual sessions and in group settings, Ana creates safe, supportive and loving spaces for participants to connect with deep parts of themselves, access their intuition and unleash creativity.
